Practical field guide
Our editorial method
Workflow fit and documented limitations matter more than marketing promises.
How our guides are prepared
We begin with a concrete workflow: requesting a quote, recording the scope, booking a job, invoicing, or tracking payment. We examine official documentation, written pricing, access restrictions and user needs, then build original examples that readers can change.
We distinguish an estimate from a measured outcome. Where a tool has not been tested hands-on, we label our content as research-based. Vendors may change plans and features without notice; check the current product documentation before purchasing.
What we compare
- The smallest plan that meets the task
- Annual versus monthly pricing and add-on fees
- Workflow steps on a phone
- Invoice, schedule and export features supported by official information
- Data portability, cancellation requirements and support obligations
Commercial independence
We may later receive commissions from eligible purchases through clearly marked links, but that must not determine rankings. We include free alternatives when they are sufficient.
